Welcome To Sarah Lost Abroad

Hey I'm Sarah :) I'm 21 years old and currently 13 courses short of a Bachelor of Science in Biology back home in Edmonton, Canada. I'm questioning all my life choices at the moment. So, in September instead of continuing my Science Degree I decided to take the year off school to work and move to Barcelona, Spain starting in February 2024.
In 2018, I travelled with Team Alberta Handball Federation to and through Hungary to Belgrade, Serbia at 15 years old. Before that trip I had never been outside of North America. Although I was there to play my sport and I only got to enjoy and explore the city for 2 days of the 9 I was there, I caught the "Travel Bug." I started watching every travel YouTube video I could. Soon afterwards a list of a few countries turned into the whole world.
I have a year long working holiday visa for Spain. If I stay for the full year or just until end of July depends on if I find a job here and create a life for myself. I play beach handball for Canada's National Team and I hope to pursue beach handball here in Spain as well.
For the entire month of February, every week day I took Semi-Intensive & Conversation classes at Camino Barcelona Language School. It was 3 hours everyday for a rough total of 60 hours of in class learning. However, it was all beginner level learning. From now on I hope to learn as much as I possibly can on my own and interaction with locals. While I hope to travel around Spain during my stay, I also hope to travel and explore other countries in Europe.
